Your most valuable commodity – Part 4
Here is the last article in this series. I am going to keep it short and sweet.
Get rid of the noise! What I mean with this is to simplify and “clean up” your life. Go through your email accounts and look at any emails you are getting that are not of use to you at this point and unsubscribe. If you really want to you can always subscribe again in future.
Also get off your social media platforms, unless they are being used for business. If you are using them for keeping in touch with people you care about, then work out a time that you can sit daily and quickly catch up. What we are trying to avoid here is to just aimlessly scroll through feeds. It takes your attention off more important things and does not really contribute anything to the future you would like to build.
Stop watching Netflix daily. Watching series or movies has its place, but steer clear of making it a habit. I am not saying you should never relax or unwind, but I am saying is that you could invest that time and attention much more better by redirecting it towards something of value. Like having conversations or having fun with spouse or family, reading a book etc.
Your attention is like water. If you continually water certain seeds those plants will grow bigger and bigger.
What are you currently growing in your life?
I hope this series has been helpful and insightful. If you have questions or would like to get in touch, I would love to hear from you!
